As a SOC Manager, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding critical infrastructure and data, ensuring the security and resilience of the organisation's operations.
As a SOC Manager, you will lead a team of skilled analysts and engineers, overseeing the Security Operations Centre's day-to-day activities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, monitoring security incidents, and coordinating responses to potential threats. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying vulnerabilities and mitigating risks, ensuring the organisation remains protected against cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Your duties as the SOC Manager will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Leading and managing the SOC team, providing guidance and support.
- Developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and analysing security incidents, ensuring timely responses.
- Coordinating incident response efforts and conducting post-incident analysis.
- Identifying vulnerabilities and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure a cohesive security strategy.
- Staying updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
- Conducting regular security assessments and audits.
- Preparing and presenting reports on security incidents and trends.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Relevant degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven industry experience in a similar SOC Manager role or Senior SOC Engineer looking to progress
- A working knowledge and practical experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
